Jeff continued from a previous meeting about getting photos to the cloud or computer using Google Photos. Many had questions about getting photos from emails, Facebook and the internet. In addition, Google introduced a new smartphone app called PhotoScan to take old photos and turn them into digital photos in a cool, easy and in good quality.
The presentation answered the following questions.
- How do I get that photo out of my email and on to my phone so Google Photos can do its thing with it? Jeff showed how to do this with an iPhone/iPad and Android phone.
- How can I get a photo off of Facebook and onto my computer or phone?
- Where do photos or software downloads go when I click Download on a web page? Jeff answers this for 4 popular browsers; Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. This is also true for Safari.
- Is it possible to scan old photos without buying a specific device or spending a lot of money?
