This weeks topic included how to see the apps on the computer. This means old apps and any new apps provided with Windows 10. Jeff shared how the Settings app is in the process of replacing the Control Panel of old. And lastly, we got a look at the new File Explorer (formerly Windows Explorer) and some of it’s basic features but more importantly, confirm that previous documents and photos are right where they left them before upgrading.
We learned that all of our documents, photos and apps are still there after upgrading to Windows 10. Regarding older apps however, Windows 10 might NOT bring some older apps forward but it will reveal this during the upgrade process and you can decide to stop the upgrade at that time. We will spend detailed time on the upgrade process in part 5 of Windows 10 for Beginners.
We got another look at portions of Windows 10 so folks can get a closer look before deciding if upgrading is for them. Next month Jeff will go into more detail on the included apps with Windows 10. There are 24 of them!
See Jeff’s presentation below that also includes his speaker notes.

Thanks to Ellen for the lemons. I saw many a smile as folks left with some. They were gone too!
